Bookings

I am available as a violin or viola soloist for weddings, receptions, parties, and funerals in Central Iowa. I can also put together a small ensemble (string quartet or trio) for your event. Please email with information about your event and I will provide you with a custom quote. Quotes will include mileage for events outside Polk, Warren and eastern Dallas counties. For all events except funerals, a deposit of half the fee is payable at the time of booking.

The complete repertoire list, whether solo or ensemble, includes classical, folk/rock, gospel and church music, movie and show tunes, and standards. Generally, if you want it, I can get it.

Solo Weddings and Receptions: the fee includes all necessary consultations, the rehearsal, and ceremony (including prelude and postlude if requested). Charges incurred for purchase of non-standard music will be billed at my cost. The remaining balance is payable at the end of the ceremony.

Ensemble Weddings and Receptions (trio or quartet): the fee includes all necessary consultations, the ceremony (including prelude and postlude if requested), and mileage where applicable. It also includes the assistance of an ensemble member at the rehearsal. The remaining balance must be paid in full five days prior to the ceremony.

Non-wedding Receptions, cocktail or garden parties: The remaining balance is payable at the end of the event.

Funerals: Just as music is a universal way that we celebrate life, it is also an important way to celebrate a life well lived. To help comfort those who are grieving, appropriate music is chosen in consultation with the family and funeral director. Ensembles may or may not be available on the short notice that funerals provide, due to members' work schedules and other commitments. Fees are requested prior to the start of the service.

As a soloist, I also do demonstrations and lectures, am willing to step in as an assisting musician for recitals, and am often available as a sub/extra/independent contractor for pit orchestras and church functions.
